Can't see the option to sync with Android devices via Wi-Fi server in my preferences on the MAC
Hi,
I want to be able to sync my primary vault on the MAC with my Android phone. However, when I want to switch on the Wi-Fi sync in Preferences, I can't see the option to sync with Android devices via Wi-Fi server. I only see "Run a Wi-Fi server from this MAC to sync with iOS devices". What can I do in order to be able to sync my MAC with my Android phone?
Thank you and kind regards
Verena

Hi @verena_hh. Don't worry about the wording on the WiFi sync window. WiFi sync support was only recently added to 1Password 4 for Android, and we still need to update the language on Mac to match. This change has actually been implemented in our recent Mac beta releases, and we're hoping to release it in a stable update soon.
However, despite the lack of mention of Android on the WiFi sync window, you can certainly still configure WiFi sync between your Mac and Android. Just make sure 1Password is open and unlocked on your Mac, both devices are on the same network, the box to "Run a Wi-Fi server from this MAC to sync with iOS devices" is checked, and that the window is left open on your Mac.
Then launch 1Password 4 for Android and choose "I've used 1Password before," followed by "Sync using Wi-Fi." 1Password on your Android should detect the Mac. Select the Mac from the list, enter the WiFi secret, and then enter your vault's Master Password. That should do the trick!
Let us know if you have any further trouble with this and we'll be happy to help out. Thanks!

I tried the WiFi sync again. It all worked fine with my iPad. However, on my Android phone 1Password does not detect the Mac. Do you have an idea why this is happening?
Thank you!

Hi @verena_hh,
We may very well need @peri's expertise here but can I just confirm where we stand. Using this How to use Wi-Fi Sync (Android) page as a guide, is the issue that you're at step 3, 1Password for Android is looking for any copies of 1Password broadcasting their presence and the list is showing up empty? If this was related to Apple hardware I would suggest rebooting both the Mac and mobile device in case it was stale Bonjour information. I'm not sure that really applies here though as you've already gotten the iPad to sync. While we wait for Peri though what I will say is it can't hurt. Can I also ask about how you've named your Mac. I'm just wondering if maybe the name, which is broadcast by Bonjour as part of the discovery process, is possibly involved. It's a bit of a grasp though.
Fingers crossed we can resolve this

Certainly, @verena_hh. :)
You mentioned that you reinstalled 1Password on your Android. Can you confirm if this is the view you're seeing?
Also, do you have any firewalls or antivirus software (such as AVG) installed on your Android or your Mac?

Yes. This is what I see. On my Android I have Antivirus. Since I use my Mac for work there is a firewall.

Thanks @verena_hh! First things first, try disabling the antivirus on your Android.
1Password on Android uses Network Service Discovery to connect with Apple’s Bonjour service for WiFi sync.Sometimes firewalls and antivirus software can block 1Password on your Android device from being able to communicate with 1Password on Mac.
Since you were able to sync your iPad, it's likely not the OS X Firewall, but just in case, I'd like you to configure that according to these instructions:
