What is that flashing 1password icon in the menu bar
Look at the 1password icon in the menu bar in this short clip (at 00:01).

From time to time a second 1password icon flashes in and disappears immediately. What is this? It's very annoying.

Hello @valmar,
Can I ask, if your vault was unlocked before, do you find it is now locked even if you don't believe it should be? Now a review of the logs would confirm but my first thought is 1Password mini is crashing and OS X is restarting it automatically. If 1Password mini is crashing then we will need to figure out why so that 1Password can work properly for you.

Hi @littlebobbytables
the main application was unlocked but 1password mini was locked (just tried and had to enter password).
I don't think that Mini is crashing and restarting because if it would be then the icon would probably first disappear and then re-appear but this isn't the case. Instead, one icon is always there and a 2nd icon flashes in and out for a second.
Where can I see the logs?0 -
Hi @valmar,
I'm glad you said that as I didn't pick up on that at all. I thought it was a single icon disappearing and reappearing very quickly.
Okay, with that other piece of information my hunch moves from 1Password mini crashing to there being two distinct copies of 1Password on your Mac. One may be in
/Applications/
and the other might be in say your Downloads folder. When it comes to 1Password mini we don't get to control what version is launched, that decision is made by OS X so if there is more than one copy on your system Apple arbitrarily chooses one. If it gets it wrong then things get slightly unpredictable and I'm thinking what you're seeing is one visible behaviour. If you search Spotlight for 1Password does it return more than one copy of 1Password for Mac at all?0 -

Hello @valmar,
Tell you what, how about we review a diagnostic report instead of all my unsuccessful guessing? Hopefully something in the log can clear this up.
I would like you to create a Diagnostic Report please. This guide will assist.
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums
The email address you will want to use is support+forum@agilebits.com.
When sending the diagnostic report to the address above it would help immensely if you could include a link to this thread and your forum handle so we can connect the two.
Once you've sent the report a post here with the ticket ID will help us to keep an eye out for it. With access to the report we should be able to better assist you

Hi @valmar,
Thanks for sending the diagnostics report! I see that Laura is now working with you on this, and she'll be getting back to you again as soon as possible. We'll keep the conversation going directly via email to avoid complicating things between here and there. Hopefully we'll be able to get this all sorted out very soon! :)
