I changed my master password and now it does not work. I cannot open the program on this device.

I changed the master password on this device (a macbook pro). It worked for awhile but now it no longer works. Interestingly, the new password did not cross over to my other devices (iPad Air 2 and iPhone). I am considering uninstalling the program and reinstalling it using the old password. Is that possible without losing all my data? I sing via the cloud.

    Hi @Loring7,

    Well we can at least explain why your new Master Password hasn't synchronised to your other devices. As of 1Password 5, the AgileBits Store version of 1Password for Mac is unable to synchronise to iCloud. So as you're running the AgileBits Store this will mean it hasn't been syncing to your iOS devices. You can read more on this at iCloud FAQs (starting with iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite). Your best option would be Dropbox. Anyway, this will have to be resolved after we see if we can address your Master Password issue.

    I'd like to recommend the following.

    Those two pages cover all the possible ways of recovering a vault where the final solution is sadly to start over again with a fresh vault. Even if you end up having to go down this route though you do at least have some good data on your iOS devices.

    So does anything in those two articles help you regain access to your vault or at least a recent backup? Then we'll work on sync.
