when I pick License under 1 password 5 I can choose License, but there is no place to enter it.
How can I active the software? The other one is on my MacBook Pro, but I can't log into that machine

Sorry for any confusion about the license! Hopefully the article from Stephen's reply helps to clear that up. In short, 1Password 3 is activated with a license code, and 1Password 4 and 5 are activated with a license file. I don't know exactly what version you have installed or which license(s) you've purchased, but if you ever bought a license from our AgileBits Store, you can have that resent to you from the "I've lost my license" section of this site.
