upgrading from version 3 in os 10.6.8 to version 4 in os 10.8.5. Mini shows "null vault".
I was running 1Password 3.8.22 on Mac OS 10.6.8. Have upgraded to OS 10.8.5 and trying to upgrade 1Password to version 4. The installation was "successful", and the icon is in the toolbar, but when I open it, I get a "(null) vault" picture. How do I fill the new vault?
1Password Version: 4.4.3
Extension Version: 4.4.3.90
OS Version: OS X 10.8.5

Hey @Bradwood! Glad to hear you're upgrading your OS and 1Password. :) Could you try launching the 1Password 4 app? This issue is typically caused by there not being a vault set up in the app. When you upgraded, did you follow our upgrade guide to make sure your data was carried over properly? If not, did you set up sync? You may simply need to finish the upgrade process, or import your vault from your sync service.

I'm sure I followed the steps correctly: checked that a new login was saved, deleted version 3, installed version 4. Google shows it enabled in Preferences>Extensions. Don't understand about setting up sync - it's in the same computer. What else is involved in "finishing the upgrade process"?

Greetings @Bradwood,
So it sounds like you managed to get down to the final step in Step 3: Install the current version of 1Password and that's where things didn't go as expected.
This is our Running 1Password for the first time guide and it might be very useful to know what of this page you experienced and what you didn't. For example, did you see the Welcome to 1Password window as until that window is told to leave 1Password will be in a limbo state. I believe we are redesigning this as we know some people don't realise the Awesome! Let's Get Started text in the bottom right hand corner is a button at all that you need to click. Hopefully we can learn something useful from this and work towards getting 1Password fully working for you

Thank you! You're absolutely right - I saw the "Awesome" button, but thought it was just part of the picture. Now I WILL have a great day! You too!
Thanks again,
