I have lost my 1password data through a failed mac OS update. Can I import from IOS or Time Machine?
I lost my data through a bad OS update. I have time machine, backups (which is unable to recreate, for an unknown reason), and I have previously exported my data to my iPad.
I cannot seem to find the file in my backup.
Are there any tips to recreate/import from either of these two sources?
Thanks

Hi @Ronald_I,
I am genuinely sorry to hear you're having to go through this. At least you have backups of your vault though!
Now you can use a backup created on your iOS vault to kickstart a new copy of 1Password for Mac so if your iOS vault is completely up to date then this represents a good a way as any.
What you would want to do is follow the Creating manual backups of our Creating and restoring 1Password backups in iTunes (iOS) page. At the end you will have a
Backups
folder on your Mac that contains a file ending in.1p4_zip
which is a backup file that both 1Password for iOS and Mac understand. This file would allow you to then use this guide, Using existing 1Password data on a new computer: Elsewhere on your Mac to use the backup file. Please do let us know how you get along and if you need assistance at any point please do say. Hopefully though you don't run into bumps in the process
