Querying my Backup Files
Hi, I am running 1Password 5.3.2 on my Macbook Pro. I have located my backup files and they are in a folder called 1Password 4 >Backups. I have checked for updates and am obviously up to date. Could you explain the discrepancy I have discovered please ?
Many thanks
Richard the Englishman.

There is no discrepancy. When 1P5 was released AgileBits retained the 1P4 folder structure with the consequent 1P4 names.

Hi @RichardCr,
Stephen_C is quite correct. We didn't intend to cause the confusion that we did but given that both 1Password 4 and 5 use the exact same support folder structure and file formats we simply had 1Password 5 use the existing files. It meant a seamless transition for everybody but every so often it confuses the heck out of somebody that was expecting to see a 1Password 5 folder. Sorry about that.

Hi Stephen and Littlebobbytables alias Adam,
Thanks for answering my question. It's just these little discrepancies tend to bug me a bit. Yep I'm a true Anorak !
QED then......

In hindsight maybe not the best choice we could have made @RichardCr. A change now will probably have to wait for a new major version change as changing mid version 5 would probably cause all sorts of chaos that we definitely want to avoid. Hopefully you can put it to the back of your mind. To distract you, have you ever tried holding down the shift key ⇧ and clicking on the minimise button in the main 1Password window? It isn't just 1Password actually but I never knew about this until somebody reported a similar issue.
