It's very difficult to give you the correct solution without some key information. Please tell us:
- What version of 1P for Mac you are using
- Your OS X version number
If you're running 1P4 or 1P5 on OX X El Capitan you might want to try the suggestion in this AgileBits post (although my own suggestion here is a bit of a gamble given that you've not told us the key information I've mentioned).

Hey @toddnj! Sorry you're having some trouble with 1Password connecting to Mini. Could you check to make sure you only have one version of the app installed? Sometimes there are two versions of 1Password on the system and things get a bit confusing. If that's the case, please follow this guide to remove the conflicting copies. If there's only one app installed, I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your Mac.
Attach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you.

I have run and sent the report. Just to be clear, neither mini or the regular full version are working
