Resetting 1password when vault is in iCloud

My son forgot his 1password master password. The vault was stored in iCloud. I have copied of everything that was in his vault, so we can recreate it. However, when I follow the steps for starting 1password from scratch, I get the splash, but clicking "Awesome!" doesn't bring up any windows, and doesn't allow me to restart the process.

How do I get rid of his iCloud vault and just start his 1password over again?

    Hi @ssh,

Since you have the Mac App Store version of 1Password 5 for Mac, you'll want to remove the iCloud data by following these steps. However, before re-enabling iCloud sync (the last step of the process at that link), you'll need to reset your son's local 1Password data as well.

To do that, you'll want to follow the instructions for starting over. Make sure you use the instructions for the Mac App Store version instead of our version of 1Password 5 for Mac. Let us know if you hit any snags, but that should get you on the right path for sure!

I can't try the fix until I get home from this business trip tomorrow. But, I will give it a try then.

No problem, @ssh! Whenever you get the chance, just let us know how it all goes. We'll be happy to continue helping you with that if it's still a problem! :)
