1Password installed on USB flash drive?

Is it possible to install 1Password for Windows on a USB flash drive and have the Chrome plugin find the software there? I've posted before that I am not able to install software on my work PC but I can install Chrome add-ons. Because the Chrome 1Password add-on requires the software to be installed, I am not able to use either. I could setup a flash drive though, password protected so if it's ever lost, with the 1Password software and my database. (BTW, Dropbox is forbidden at work too).

Any ideas how to get this to work would be greatly appreciated.

  • @mbnocx - I'm sorry but 1Password can't actually be run from a USB drive, it does need to be installed on the PC's hard drive itself.

I'd just like to say that I would love for this to be made a feature of 1Password in the future. If it could work like Keepass on a usb drive, I would be very happy. IT wouldn't even need browser extension support, just the auto type function working properly.

  • TheDetective - this has been requested quite a few times and is on our feature request list.
