All of a sudden 1password 5 is asking where is the data and is looking for the agilebitskeychain!

Today 1Password is asking if I'm new to 1 Password or I've used 1Password before. I've been using 1Password for a while so where can I find the keychain or the backup for the data?

    Hey @allanstewart! That's strange. Did you run some sort of app cleaner or remove some of 1Password's preferences? That would usually cause it to forget things.

    If you're not syncing your data anywhere, you won't have an Agile Keychain file. You did not report a sync type in your post, so I'm going with the assumption that you don't have one. The good news is your backups are located in one of the following directories, depending on which version of the app you're using.

    • Mac App Store: ~/Library/Containers/2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword-osx-helper/Data/Library/Backups/
    • AgileBits Store: ~/Library/Application Support/1Password 4/Backups/

    Using that information, you should be able to choose I've used 1Password before and then select the Restore from Backup option. Let us know how that goes! :)
