I think I was auto-upgrading to the latest beta of 1Password 5, and a recent update broke my 1Password. I've removed every copy of 1Password from my Mac, including uninstalling the browser extensions, and then restarted. I still get the "1Password failed to connect to 1Password mini" error on my Macbook Retina (mid 2014). 1Password is still running fine on my other devices and machines.
I checked the console while 1Password was failing to start up, and saw this:
10/12/15 12:41:51.943 1Password 5[4942]: 540045 [APP:(Main Thread):] S hockeyManagerStarted | XPC connection is not yet available, retrying 46/60 in 1 sec...
What can I do to wipe my Mac's 1Password data so I can reconstruct my vaults from Dropbox?

Sorted-- I saw this post and running the terminal command (twice, in my case) solved my issue.

  • Hey @beekman! Glad to hear you got everything sorted out by running the xattr command. We'll be here if you have nay other questions.
