I bought back in 2008 a single version (Feb '08) and a family version (Mar '08). I need help.
Then today I upgraded the single license bc I did not remember I had a family version. I don't need both of them. I would like to upgrade the one that allows my live in partner to use as well. It seems that I don't even need a family version now, as he has a MAC and ipad and iphone, I have only the MAC, iphone and 2 kindles. Please advise. Many thanks! Suzanne

Thank you! Where do I locate the answer?

Just hold on patiently until some of the AgileBits staff come along. Most of them are in the US or Canada so are probably sleeping now. However, the forum is regularly monitored so you probably shouldn't have to wait too long.

Hi @Suzi,
Sorry we didn't get back to you sooner! It's been quite busy in our forums recently, but we're trying to reply to everyone as fast as we can.
So, the short answer is that, regardless of whether you upgraded a single license or a family license today, you can share that new license with your partner.
A slightly longer answer is that we made some changes to the way our licenses work in 2014. We no longer offer separate "Single User" and "Family" licenses. Instead, we now offer one license which can be shared by up to six family members living in the same household. In other words, the new license you purchased works just like a family license, but doesn't cost as much as it used to. :)
In case it helps, you can find more information about how our licenses work here: What licenses do I need to use 1Password on all my devices?
I hope that helps to answer your questions! If you need anything else, please let us know. :)
