Safari extension: Gallery vs AgileBits source

Recently, probably because I migrated to a new Mac, Safari asked if I wanted to enable the 1Password extension manually installed or use the one from the "Gallery." It said the one from the Gallery would be automatically updated, but I noted it was slightly older (4.4 vs 4.4.4 I think). Not sure if that makes sense but what's the deal with the extension, for gallery vs direct install?

Hey @Nunuv Yurbiz! Apple recently introduced the Safari Extensions Gallery with the release of El Capitan to bring Secure Extension Distribution to the browser. This means Safari extensions downloaded somewhere else on the web will not automatically update anymore, so most developers (including us) are switching to the Extensions Gallery. The most recent version of our extension on Safari is 4.4.4, and the Extensions Gallery version is 4.4.0, as you pointed out. We're working on closing the gap between those and will hopefully have the most recent version on the Extensions Gallery soon. In the meantime, it's probably a good idea to use the Extensions Gallery version so it automatically updates when we release new versions. :)

    Hope that helps!
