Hi, I saw that you are offering 40% discount on 1password on all platforms, so I bought some credit in my app store and suddenly noticed that discount there is not valid. Is there some kind of mistake?

  • Hey @ksv! The sale is currently set at $29.99 in USD, but the Mac App Store reflects the local price, which factors in the conversion rate. If you don't need iCloud sync, you can simply purchase the app from our store at the AUD conversion of $29.99. If you need to sync your data using iCloud, the Mac App Store is the only place you can purchase a copy of 1Password that will do that.

Hope that clears things up! :)

Were you expecting to claim a discount during the purchase process? I gather that the current price of $29.99 US is the price after discount so that there is no further reduction. for you to apply

Of course something may have gone wrong with the Australian App Store.

@ksv: Indeed. That converts to roughly 35$US at the current rate, so that's about right. The normal price — 50$US — would be closer to 70 AUD going by the conversion. Sorry for the confusion!

    Greetings @ksv,

That would seem about right for a 40% Now I'm pretty much doing back of the envelope calculations but 50USD is approximately 70AUD. Now my understanding is Apple does bands for pricing so I don't know what the nearest band is there but a 40% discount takes you down close to the 40AUD and then possibly taxes? I know Apple only shows the price you pay, it doesn't show you the full price and then apply the discount at payment as their system doesn't work that way. Does that help at all?
