Tried to update to password 5. Followed the instructions & created and saved a new sign in to ensure it was registering. I then deleted the old extension. But when I open safari and click the new extension it comes up 'null vault'. Please help it seems all my logins have disappeared!
This is on my mac book air in the UK. I'm hoping it won't affect 1 password on my other computers. There appears to be 2 1passwords installed version 5.3 & 5.3.2

1Password Version: 5.3
Extension Version: 4.4.4
OS Version: OS x10.10.5
Sync Type: Not Provided
Referrer: forum-search:updated to password 5. But when I open safari and click the new extension it comes up null vault

I suspect this knowledge base article will help you:

How to remove multiple, conflicting copies of 1Password from your system

    Hi @Bondy,

I think you've discovered the cause of the problem - it sounds like you have the Mac App Store version and AgileBits Store version of 1Password installed at the same time (5.3 is the Mac App Store version, and 5.3.2 is the AgileBits Store version). The article from the link Stephen gave you should help you with that - but before deleting one of those apps, you'll probably want to open each one to see which has your (latest) data.

If you have the Mac App Store version installed, that must mean you purchased it from the Mac App Store, and chances are you'll want to keep that one (it also has the iCloud sync option, which is not in the AgileBits Store version of 1Password). If all your data is in the Mac App Store version (1Password.app), that makes it easy, as you can simply remove the AgileBits Store version (1Password 5.app) as described in that knowledgebase article.

Let us know how it goes and if you have questions or need more help with that. Thanks!
