Do I simply download the app from here to gain access to my primary vault? I'll also want the nifty browser extension...

    Hey @illuminator! Great question. During the 1Password setup process, you'll be asked if you've used the app before. If you say you have, you'll be asked where you'd like to import your data from. If you have it synced to Dropbox or iCloud, you can quickly import it. If you have a backup of your data, you can use that as well. I would recommend giving this guide a read:
