Restored Hard Drive- Cannot find information from backup drive

I had my hard drive wiped and restored today- and I am trying to get the 1Password information back up and running so I can use the extension. Everything is working fine on my phone. I think that the back up was not done properly on my external drive, so I am unable to get past the part where it is asking me to open up an agile bits file so I can get back into my vault! I cannot find any of the file types that it says it needs to use to get my vault back up and running... Thank you!

I think these excerpts from the user guide will help you:

Using existing 1Password data on a new computer

    Wi-Fi Sync existing data

The key with wifi sync of existing data when setting up a new machine is this part of the second article:

It may seem a bit counterintuitive, but in order to use Wi-Fi Sync, you will actually need to proceed as a new user. You'll create a new vault into which your data will sync. This is different than all the other sync options, but we'll walk you through it step by step.

OK- I went through all of the steps and I am connected to the same wifi as my iPhone and my computer is not showing up in the refresh list in order to sync it.

I figured it out- made an adhoc wireless network and connected the iPhone to recreate my vault that way.
    Whew!

  • @juliehersh - I'm so glad you were able to get the WiFi sync working with an ad-hoc wireless network. Thanks for letting us know :)
