Should Apples Keychain be Turned Off (Disabled)?
I am now pretty much up and running using 1Password. I like it. Should I disable Keychain on my iMac and if so how? It keeps asking me if I want to save passwords when I already have them saved in 1Password. Please advise. Thanks in advance for your help.
1Password Version: 5.3
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: Yosemite 10.10.5

Assuming you use Safari as your web browser you should turn off auto-fill in the preferences (and similar action with other browsers). I think that's all that is needed, but there might be more.
But the Keychain itself should be kept, as it includes items that are not covered by 1PW. For instance, the keychain keeps passwords for wi-fi networks so that connection is automatic.

@danco: I think I may have picked up on something you didn't for once! ;)
@genec123: It sounds like you're referring to Apple's iCloud Keychain. Is that correct? The iOS/OS X Keychain cannot be disabled, but syncing this information between devices can.
However, danco is absolutely correct about disabling browser autofill. Ultimately it's up to you, but I do this for a living and I still find it confusing (and problematic) to have more than one thing trying to fill logins for me.
But back to iCloud Keychain, I don't typically use this myself for the same reason, but I do find that it's slightly less intrusive on iOS devices. And as danco mentioned, it is useful in areas where 1Password isn't able to help, such as joining Wi-Fi networks. The most important thing is to know where you keep your data, so you don't think that 1Password has something it doesn't, only to later find this out when you need to access that information quickly. It is not as convenient to get information out of Apple's Keychains or browser password stores.
