Shared vault, synced via dropbox, had to recreate, can't seem to get rid of original

I created a new dropbox folder that I shared with my daughter. Wew both have 1P from Mac App Store. I created a new Family vault, set a password and hint, and saved the vault in the shared Dropbox folder. I added our Netflix login and saw it sync. My daughter found the shared vault file in Finder, double-clicked and was prompted for PW. It reported being the wrong password.

Hmm, I thought I nevr make stopid typos! So, I deleted the vault, and deleted the shared vault file from Dropbox. One more time, this time with care. New vault, password typed carefully, new hint. She deleted the first shared vault, went to Finder and double-clicked to open the new shared vault. Typed in the password once, twice, I tried -- no love :chuffed:

Hey, wait, the hint for her view of the family vault password was the first one we tried, not the second.

I am pretty sure that syncing worked, that is, she got the new copy of the synced vault. We watched the first go away after I deleted it, saw my second attempt appear in her Dropbox folder.

Perhaps a hidden gem in ~/Library/Something or some such?

@Tom Harrison: Hmm. Does she have only a primary vault currently? That's a good starting point.

Open 1Password on your Mac and go to Preferences > Sync. Verify the path. Then navigate to that location in Finder, double-click the vault, and 1Password should let you know that's the same one: "This file is in use", and it will say which vault it is in 1Password. If that matches up, so far so good! Then, go to your daughter's Mac and navigate to that same vault in the shared folder and double-click it to add it as a new vault in 1Password.

If you're still having trouble, the best thing to do will be to generate a diagnostic report for each Mac and send it to support+forums@agilebits.com so we can look at the logs to determine exactly what is happening:
