When editing the icons in el capitan, when you place a picture of your choice or icon of your choice and hit "done" and "save" icon reverts to the default grey key icon. This happens also when you choose one of the loaded icons as well.

    Hi @William123,

We are aware of an ongoing bug where if we can't compress an icon sufficiently that we silently fail and you would observe behaviour as you're seeing. It's made all the more frustrating as we've seen different results from the exact same image and version of 1Password and one system simply fails to compress like others do. It's frustrating because we're using a system call so you would expect the results to be identical.

So I'm wondering, does the issue happen with absurdly small images too? If it doesn't we might be looking at the same thing but if it does then it could be something different. As way of an example this image didn't work for our user but it did work for both myself and the developer I kept bugging to find the answer  What the user found was the original 300x300 wouldn't work but if they resized it to 128x128 then it did. So if you find it works or it works after reducing the size then we know it's related. Hopefully we can figure this out and help you add custom icons to you items

Have tried this and after loading it and saving the icon returns to the standard grey icon. Unfortunately no joy but I am sure that you will find a solution to this. Keep up the good work. Cheers

    Greetings @William123,

Let's see if a diagnostic report reveals any error being logged. Can you try what you did before please so that any error is fresh in your logs and then I would like you to create a Diagnostic Report. This guide will assist.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums

The email address you will want to use is support+forum@agilebits.com.

When sending the diagnostic report to the address above it would help immensely if you could include a link to this thread and your forum handle so we can connect the two.

Once you've sent the report a post here with the ticket ID will help us to keep an eye out for it. With access to the report we should be able to better assist you
