Long time between syncing on iMac using El Capitan. How do I force sync?
Hi. I created a new login on my iPad which quickly synced to the iCloud and onto my iPhone. However, on my iMac there was no sign of the new login, even though it had synced 4 minutes previously - the login was created about an hour before that.
I went to Preferences > Sync and couldn't see a button to sync or refresh. 20 minutes later and I've been looking for answers under Help and Forums, but no luck. I tried quitting and restarting 1Password, twice, but neither time forced a sync.
Eventually, I resolved by changing to 'No Sync' and then back to 'iCloud'.
Is there a way of adjusting the frequency of synchronisations or to force a sync/refresh?

I'm afraid not. iCloud is entirely under Apple's control—as is the actual time sync happens. You might try creating a test item on your Mac and see if that forces sync when sync otherwise appears to be uncooperative.

Hi @Chatterer,
With iCloud we should be getting push notifications that inform 1Password instantly when there is updated information available. I'm not sure why this isn't happening for you but what I have noticed is many of Apple's services haven't been quite their normal self recently. I've seen this in downloading updates from their stores but I believe it affected iCloud too. No doubt they're doing everything to get to the bottom of it but it might be why you're seeing this. As we're meant to get push notifications we don't have a force sync button - it shouldn't be needed. I also understand your view though.
While your approach does work we wouldn't recommend disconnecting and reconnecting to a sync container. It forces 1Password to assume it the container and your local vault don't match and performs a full sync to begin with in contrast to looking at just the updates since the last time it asked. Instead, if you have more than one vault then switching backwards and forwards between vaults will trigger a sync as will locking and unlocking your vault if you only have your primary vault. Both of these should also work. Please do keep us updated but I'm hoping things settle down once the last blips are ironed out.
