Import from Lastpass adds HTML to passwords

Hey there,

I just moved over to 1Password from Lastpass. Many of my passwords just didn't work! After pulling out all my hair, I figured out why:

Many of my passwords use characters such as "&" and when these passwords were imported into 1Password, it turned into the HTML equivalent such as "&"

Is there an way to search-replace and change all these together?

I can no longer import them from Lastpass because, before I figured out this was the problem, I already changed a ton of passwords and eliminated Lastpass.

    Hi @morganf,

    I'm betting you used Chrome as your browser when you did the export. If so, this is a LastPass export problem, and I explain the issue here.

    If you are certain that the sequence & is never contained in your data, you could do a search and replace on your exported data, and re-import.

    Indeed, it's a bit troublesome, but there are ways around it at least. Please let us know how it turns out! :)
