Hey - I downloaded 1Password 4 and installed it
Your site doesn't have a "purchase link" for 1Password 4 - you are just routed to 1PW 5! This is amazingly braindead of you people. I am running Mountain Lion and DO NOT want to upgrade my IOS - I've already installed 8gb total of RAM - my machine is from 2009 and I'm very happy with it right now - the instability reported in later IOS versions for my machine is of concern.
SO, given this, where is the purchase link for 1PW4 - and why is your site not showing the link for this - it is such an egregious error that it makes me wonder what the hell are you thinking in not providing a link for purchase of 1PW4. Is anybody home? Is this legacy version of 1PW4 free? If so, say it. If not, say it - and give me a price will you? With all the details that your software goes through and the reputation your software has for being a great solution for passwords, I can't believe your web store designers are so brain dead that they don't provid a way to buy 1PW 4! It is not even listed on your website. Hey - get a clue... MANY PEOPLE ARE NOT BUYING INTO APPLE'S BULLSHIT ANNUAL IOS "UPGRADES" AND THEIR PUSH TO MOBILE BULLSHIT."

You're right nothing on the web or well hidden
Launch 1Password and in 1Password rolling menu choose licence
I think you can buy it this way, no ?0 -
The link under "license" when you start up 1Password takes you to the same site location - ie zilch, nada, zip, zero! Do you think whoever programs the website has any idea what they are doing? Makes you wonder about the thoroughness of the development team if they overlook this one issue - the purchase link is not hidden - it is not there. I"ve directly emailed one of the people at Agilebits (at least they reveal their contact info on the forum - which is better than the crappy Dropbox website - what a joke that overrated software is - but that is another story. I just wonder how many "experts" on Macs are on the take when they recommend some of these overrated products. (I'm talking about you Mac Power Users)

Incredible !
Perhaps they don't want to sell their product.
Ask them for a hacking link ;)I'm using 1Pass3.8 and I'm very fond of it
Hope you can find a solution0 -
The license file that registers 1Password 5 is identical to the one needed to register 1Password 4. Version 5 was a free upgrade from version 4. So buy the license for 1Password 5 and follow the directions you receive to install the license file in your copy of version 4. You'll also be ready to use version 5 when the time comes that you want to use it.

Hi @momomentous,
As hawkmoth has stated, a purchase of 1Password 5 will result in a licence file that works in both 1Password 4 and 5 and for anybody still running an even older Mac it will also contain a licence key for 1Password 3 for Mac.
It means that for those that are running the likes of Mountain Lion now but may one day want to upgrade (obviously not yourself) that they can update to 1Password 5 using the exact same licence with no further purchase required.
Does that help at all?

Thanks for update! Perhaps I missed it but the site is not clear about that issue - it takes you directly from the "purchase 1PW4 button
to the checkout for 1PW 5 - I'm just suggesting that this be explained more clearly. Anyway, I'm stop dwelling on this issue! ps - Adam I did send you a detailed message (replying to your reply - which I appreciated) on another discussion thread - I'm working on getting my Dropbox sync working at which time I'll then focus on the syncing 1PW with Dropbox. (or maybe it will get fixed quasi automatically when I get the Dropbox corruption issue fixed within Terminal!)0 -
I have 1PW 3.8.22 on MacBook Pro with OSX 10.7.5. I downloaded (but have not installed) 1PW 4 for Mac because I want WiFi Synch. I deduce from above that I can purchase a License File for 1PW 5 that will work with 1PW 4. But it seems 1PW 4 may not work with 10.7.5? I don't want to install the latest Mac OS because of memory and performance drag on my old MacBook Pro. What is my best option re Mac OS to get WiFi Synch rolling between my Mac and iPhone 6?

Hello @ebuyguy,
Unfortunately your options are very limited between OS X 10.7 and what I assume is 1Password 6 for iOS on your iPhone 6. OS X 10.7 can only run 1Password 3 for Mac so you're running the latest version compatible with Lion. That means Wi-Fi Sync won't be possible as the Wi-Fi protocol changed in 1Password 4, leaving Wi-Fi incompatible between versions 3 and versions 4 & 5. Your only option to sync between 1Password 3 for Mac and and 1Password 6 for iOS is Dropbox. An upgrade to OS X 10.8 would allow you to run 1Password 4 for Mac but you've said that is something you don't want to consider. Sadly it does limit the options available :(
