Login issues when saving a generated password

I'm having issues around logging in with saving "generated passwords". I can easily save my login and password, then i go to generate a new password and use that to change my existing password and update my 1 password file. However, when i then use 1 password to try to login to the site, there is a problem logging in and i have to manually log in. It's happening for 2 financial sites (fidelity and citi). Could someone help steer me in the right direction? Much appreciated

  • Hi @jrutberg,

Did you get the prompt to update your Login item after changing the password on the website?

Did you have to log in manually with the new password or the older one?

On one of them yes. On the other no.

  • Hi @jrutberg,

Fidelity is known to be problematic because of the way they censor your username. Can you open both of your items in 1Password, edit them, go to the bottom to look at the data table, specifically the the username/passwords. Are both values saved correctly or is the username saved with **** in it? If you see ***, edit it to save it properly and then see if that'll fix the problem.
