You've not said what version of 1P you're using but on the assumption it's 1P4 or 1P5 go to 1P > Preferences > Browser and make sure Automatically ask to save new Logins is not checked.

Hello @sue.block,
I hope Stephen_C's post helped. If you disable that preference you will get the behaviour you're after as I used 1Password for quite some time in this way myself

Thank you for the information I have unchecked on my Password 5 version 5.4.
1.automatically ask to save new logins and
2 automatically submit logins after filling
is this the correct thing to do?
also I have 1Password on my iPad.
How to do Update for the latest Password on the iPad ?
How do I sync 1Password between Mac on iPad?
I would like to change to a more complex Password to unlock 1Password. I have heard this is impossible . What would you suggest?

Hey @sue.block! You didn't necessarily have to disable the section option,
automatically submit logins after filling
, but you can if you don't want the logins to be submitted until you press enter or click the equivalent of a submit button on the page.To answer your other questions:
How to do Update for the latest Password on the iPad ?
You can update by opening the App Store on your iPad, tapping the Updates tab in the bottom right, and then Update beside 1Password if there's an update available. The current version of the iOS app is 6.0.2. If you're running iOS 9, this will be the latest version you can download. :)
How do I sync 1Password between Mac on iPad?
I checked our system for the email address you used to sign up on these forums and it looks like you bought 1Password through the AgileBits Store. That means you have two options for syncing your data: Dropbox and WiFi. You can compare the various sync methods using this knowledge base article. Simply set one up on both devices to get the data moving between them nicely.

Well, whoever told you it's impossible is being ridiculous because you definitely can. :) We very much endorse using stronger Master Passwords! I would recommend giving this blog post a read first to get some inspiration for a new strong Master Password. Once you're ready for the big move, follow this guide to change your Master Password to a shiny new one that's titanium-reinforced (optional, sold separately).
Let us know if you have any questions at all about the info here. We'll be happy to answer them. :)
