Spinning beach ball upon application launch
I have 1Password 5.3.2 on a Macbook Pro running OS X El Capitain.
When I open 1Password I get a spinning beach ball.
I have been using 1Password for a few years, and recently upgraded to version 5 (without an issue), and also recently upgraded to OS X El Capitain (but can't tell if that's the issue).
Also I can't open 1Password extension from within Firefox or Safari - it says looking for the 1Password app.
I assume the two problems are related. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Al-Noor

Thanks for checking in!
No, unfortunately it did not. When I launch 1Password I get the attached message.
Suggestions?
Thanks.

@azgrnn Thanks for getting back to me about this. Could you try following the steps in this knowledge base article to see if that helps? This issue is usually caused by having two copies of 1Password installed. If that doesn't work, did you try the instructions in the post Stephen mentioned? Those have shown to help people who recently updated to El Capitan. Let us know how that goes!

Thanks. I followed the steps in the knowledge article (deleted possible duplicate copies, trashed app and downloaded it again), and it worked. Thanks!
