Delete vault because of forgotten password
I forgot the password to my vault. I realize that I can't recover that password, but is there a way to delete that vault or disconnect it from my iCloud? It stored all of my iCloud information making it impossible to set up a new Vault that can connect to my iCloud (and the passwords in its keychain). Thanks for the help!

Follow the directions for the version from the Mac App Store in this document: How do I start over with an empty vault?
I note that you have reported that you're running an older version of 1Password 5. You probably should update to the most recent release that works with your OS version.

Hey @Julie24Marie,
The instructions that hawkmoth posted are helpful for starting over with a fresh vault, but you will also need to remove your iCloud data to completely start fresh with a new vault. To do this, click Help in the menu bar when 1Password is open, select Troubleshooting, and click Reset iCloud Data. Just for clarification: This will remove your 1Password data from iCloud and it will not be recoverable. Your local vault will stay on your computer until you follow the guide for starting over with 1Password.
Let us know if that helps! :)

Thank you so much! Resetting iCloud worked well and I am able to connect my new Vault to iCloud. Best regards, Julie
