I don't see large type for credit card numbers
[Oh, and if your bank asks you for the 4th, 10th, and 12th digits of your passwords, you’ll be happy to see that we’ve numbered each character to make those easier for you to find.](https://app-updates.agilebits.com/product_history/OPM4#webstore
How is this accessed? I can do large type with passwords; the characters are also numbered. Is it done differently with credit card numbers?

Edit: as a credit card number is not saved as a password field, and you can't convert it to a password field, you won't see that option for credit card numbers.

Sorry Stephen, I misread the feature. I guess it's my meds. No, really. Credit card numbers are on my mind cause those could use large type feature too.

Hi @mistergsf,
I'm glad that Stephen_C could clarify this for you. Thanks for letting us know you'd like to see Large Type available for credit card numbers!
We created Large Type mainly because some sites now ask for specific characters from passwords (like "the 4th, 10th, and 12th digits," for example). Is there any such particular case for which you'd need to look closely at a credit card number? Typically users just fill in the credit card information using 1Password, or copy and paste if necessary, so I'm interested to hear how Large Type for credit card numbers would improve your experience with 1Password.
Meanwhile, in case you may not know, OS X also has a zoom function that you can use to zoom in to anything on your screen. You can adjust the settings for using zoom in System Preferences > Accessibility > Zoom.

I don't see large font type in 1 Password 5.4.1 for Mac Am I missing a trick?

Can you please explain the problem more fully with reference to the screen shot in my post above.
Are you saying that you don't see any such option when you click the down arrow at the right-hand end of a password field?
(Sorry, if the question is obvious but I'm not aware of anyone else reporting the problem.)
Have you rebooted your Mac recently?

Hi @cyrusbaria,
I hope the screenshot from Stephen's previous post was helpful! To use the Large Type feature, simply hover the mouse over a password field in 1Password (or 1Password mini), click the down arrow next to the 'copy' button, and choose 'large type'. If you're having any trouble with that, please let us know exactly what happens when you try to do that. Thanks! :)

Hi @Vee,
I haven't been on the forum so I'm just seeing your post. Thanks for asking in which instances I would like to see large numbers for credit cards.
I have several credit and debit cards but I don't carry them all with me in my wallet. 1Password contains all my credit cards and information. Sometimes I have to call customer service for a card I don't have with me and I look it up in 1Password. When I am asked for the credit card number I am calling about, I can't always see the numbers because I need reading glasses which I don't always have with me.
I know about the Zoom features in Accessibility but they are cumbersome because it requires use of both hands to navigate and not suitable for me. If it was, then why add Large Type features in 1Password? Is it difficult to include credit card numbers in that feature?
Thanks for listening.
Marcus

I am so excited for 1Password Teams!0 -
Hi @mistergsf,
Thanks for the additional feedback! :)
...why add Large Type features in 1Password?
As Vee explained, "We created Large Type mainly because some sites now ask for specific characters from passwords (like "the 4th, 10th, and 12th digits," for example)." You'll notice that when you view a password in large type, it has a number under each character of the password, and that's so you can easily see which character is the 4th, or 7th, or 10th, or whatever character you might need to enter by itself on the login forms of certain websites.
So, adding a large type option for passwords isn't just to make them bigger - it's really more about finding the 'nth' character of a password, which isn't something you would typically need to do with other data in 1Password. Of course, there's no technical reason we couldn't do the same thing for other types of fields as well. We could make every field in 1Password easier to read by adding a large type option for each one. But OS X can already make all text larger via the Zoom feature in Accessibility, so it might make more sense for our developers to focus on other improvements to 1Password.
That's not to say it won't happen, though - we never say never, and I can definitely let our developers know you'd like to have a large type feature for other fields as well! I just wanted to explain why they haven't already done something like that. I'm sure there are other customers who would also really like to view other things in large type. Thanks again for letting us know how that would be helpful for you. If you need anything else, we're here for you! :)

Hi @Drew_AG,
Thanks for your response! Some clarification here. You are speaking of 1Password on Mac OS while I'm describing using on iOS.
On my iPhone, Large Type is available for Username AND Password. The password characters are not even numbered on iOS. This is what I was referring to when I explained to Vee. Is there a reason you provide large type for username? As an IT professional and a dabbler in coding, I can't see your reasoning that it would take great resources to include large type for credit card numbers. On iOS the Zoom feature is hard to use with one hand; I've tried several ways.
1Password is more than a password manager for me. I'm sure you have information from users that would confirm this. It houses additional sensitive information like account numbers, software licenses, phone numbers, membership numbers, and secure notes. I would hope by adding features like Large Type to make it easier to view and access more information we store in 1Password, it would only make it better.
That being said, I have over 500 logins with passwords stored in 1Password. I have never been to a secure web site that asks for characters from passwords (like "the 4th, 10th, and 12th digits," for example)." Just out of my own curiosity, what sites use this method?
I'm surprised I've not run into one yet.0 -

Any number of UK banks and financial institutions: it's something of a pain. :)

Hi @mistergsf,
You are speaking of 1Password on Mac OS while I'm describing using on iOS.
Ah, thanks for clarifying! This is the first time you've mentioned iOS, and you posted your question in our Mac forum, so I naturally assumed your question was about the Mac version of 1Password (Vee's answer was also specifically about the Mac version). Sorry if we misunderstood!
On my iPhone, Large Type is available for Username AND Password. The password characters are not even numbered on iOS.
Is there a reason you provide large type for username?
So, in the iOS version of 1Password, the original intention for the large type option was not to find the 'nth' character of passwords - instead, it was meant to help in situations where you need to enter data on another device that doesn't have 1Password installed (or in your case, read it to someone over the phone).
The large type option was added to username fields in version 6.1 of 1Password for iOS, and it's also been added for software license codes in a beta for version 6.2. Basically, we've enabled large type for fields that people most commonly need to read in order to type them manually somewhere else. We can certainly add that to other fields as well, and I agree that credit card number fields would make sense to have large type, so I can definitely send your request to our developers! :)
As an IT professional and a dabbler in coding, I can't see your reasoning that it would take great resources to include large type for credit card numbers.
That wasn't really what I was trying to say - sorry if I gave you that impression! Obviously including large type for one more field like credit card numbers would not take a great amount of resources. Just a few. ;)
On iOS the Zoom feature is hard to use with one hand; I've tried several ways.
If you want to make text larger in general, there are other options in the iOS Settings app that might help you. 1Password for iOS supports Dynamic Type, so if you open the Settings app and go to General > Accessibility > Larger Text, increasing the text size there will increase it in 1Password.
I have never been to a secure web site that asks for characters from passwords (like "the 4th, 10th, and 12th digits," for example)." Just out of my own curiosity, what sites use this method?
Like you, I've been fortunate enough not to run into this on any sites where I have an account. But as Stephen said, there are some financial sites that do this, and we've heard about it from many of our customers.
Thanks again, and please let us know if you need anything else! :)

Hi Drew_AG,
I am SO SORRY for the confusion!!! It started out about Mac but I kind of switched it over to iOS without really thinking about what forum I was in. D'oh.
Thanks for your response. You've answered everything I need to know and I truly appreciate the support you guys provide. Like I mentioned. 1Password has become my "safe" and I store many things in it besides passwords. It is the very first app icon on my home screen on iPhone and iPad and lives happily in my Dock and menu bar on my Macs.
Thanks again!

Thank-you for this Large Type Feature! I'm a new user of 1Password and was looking to pinch and zoom from my iphone or ipad for the times I need to enter a password on my work computer. Even after seeing "Large Type" mentioned in this thread I had to Google it and look at the images to understand how to use it/where the feature is (hold down password, just like you do to copy it).
Very helpful feature, thanks again!
Peter
