Can't open 1Password 5, upgraded from 1Password 3 on iMac (2007). Any help?

I have an iMac (mid-2007, 2 GHz Intel Core Duo). Had 1PW3 running fine on it. Upgraded to El Capitan (Mac OS 10.11), 1PW3 still worked fine. Downloaded 1PW5, installed, won't open - keep getting 1PW Mini error. Rebooted, got rid of all copies of 1PW on this computer, downloaded another copy, but still won't work. Any suggestions?

Have you tried the solution mentioned in this AgileBits post?

If that doesn't work, when you post again please tell us exactly what version of 1P for Mac you are using (i.e., including whether you bought it from the Mac App Store or from the AgileBits store).
