    Help was trying follow directions to sync iPad and I phone... Not computer savvy, pushed lock button (master lock came on) used touch every time before. Can not remember master , can't do anything locked on enter master password which I don't know . Can I open with touch override? Help please

    There is no way for anyone to gain access to your data without that master password. The application is designed that way, without any backdoor, because that's the only way to guarantee your security. And you need to know that master password, even if you use Touch ID. Every time your device is restarted, you will need to enter it again.

    @Magi Hawkmoth is correct - there is no backdoor to retrieve a forgotten master password. Hopefully the steps in the link he provided helped jog a memory.
