Switching to OPVault

I am using Mac and IOS. I am syncing to Dropbox only because I thought it was more secure. I want to switch to OPVault and wondering if I just switch to iCloud will this resolve the problem? Will I have to run the code on Terminal ID to get the vault type switch over on my Mac?

    Hi @clinicsuper,

That's a great question! 1Password has always used the OPVault security design with iCloud sync. So the answer is yes: If you switch to iCloud sync, that will automatically use OPVault in your iCloud account (you won't need to use Terminal to do that).

Please note that in order to use iCloud sync, you'll need to be using the Mac App Store version of 1Password 5 on your Mac(s), and 1Password 5 or 6 on your iOS device(s). For more information about that, please see this knowledgebase article: Why does iCloud require at least iOS 8, OS X 10.10, and the Mac App Store?

Hopefully that answers your questions, but please let us know if you need anything else. We're always happy to help! :)
