So if I only use 1Password on my iOS Devices and Macs, do I have anything to worry about?

So seeing the issue with security issues posted here https://blog.agilebits.com/2015/10/19/when-a-leak-isnt-a-leak/ , It seems as though if I use iCloud sync, and only use 1Password on a Mac and iOS, seems like I am protected and no action is required, correct?

1Password Version: 1Password Version 5.4 (540046) Mac App Store

    Hi @iSRS,

It's great to hear that you're thinking seriously about the security of your data! We've written up even more information on this topic in the forums here: Does 1Password leak data?.

    The short answer is:

If you are syncing with iCloud or using Wi-Fi Sync, this does not apply. With both of those, 1Password has always used our OPVault security design.

With iCloud sync, your metadata is encrypted along with the rest of your database. No need to worry. :)

    Hi @Alain_55,

We'd be happy to help you out! Could you provide us a few more details on where things are getting tangled up?

Here's some of the information it would be useful to know:

    • What is the version number of 1Password that you have installed? (Please include all relevant computers and devices)
    • What is the version number of your operating system (for all computers and devices)?
    • Which browser are you using and what is its version number?
    • What is the version number of your browser extension? (This can normally be found in the browser’s preferences, in the ‘extensions’ pane.)
    • What are you using to keep things in sync?

The more detail you can provide, the more quickly we'll be able to get you sorted out! :)
