I found 2 back Up Folders: 1Password and 1Password4. When I click back up manually it goes to 1Password 4 folder size of the file is 7.3Mg with extension .1p4_zipWhen I select show in finder (preference window) that's what I see. But there is another back up folder in Application support directory, a larger files whit extension agilekeychain_zip There are many more back ups almost everyday. Very confusing, I am running Yosemite and 1Passowrd 5.

Its really confusing is this normal to have back ups all over the place? So if I need to restore which file should I open?

Thanks.

    @WebWiz: ~/Library/Application Support/1Password/ is 1Password 3; ~/Library/Application Support/1Password 4/ is 1Password 4 and 5.

    The best thing to do is to check the date and time of these backups. You'll likely have recent backups (today, yesterday, last week) in the 1Password 4 folder, whereas the 1Password (3) backups are probably considerably older and can be safely deleted. I hope this helps! :)

    These 2 folders have the same back ups the same date, but they are different names and sizes that's why I am skeptical to delete the one 1Password folder, that has the larger size. It looks to small 7Mg to have all the content, including attachments
    1. For example 1Password folder has these 1Password 2015-10-21 063950 (819 items).agilekeychain_zip
    2. 1Password 4 1Password 2015-10-21 00_35_53 (1 profiles, 584 items, 0 folders, 21 attachments).1p4_zip

    I also noticed that my 1Password.agilekeychain is in the older 1password folder, and the preference sync point to that file. Do I mpve the 1Password.agilekeychain to the new location 1Password 4? How do I change the location it in the preference, it would not let me.
    I have iPassword 5 and if I wish to sync with dropbox, do I move 1Password.agilekeychain, from my mac to the drop box or it will create a new one?

    @WebWiz: Sorry for the confusion! It sounds like you're all set, but if you can link the particular discussion you're referring to it would be much appreciated! I'll also touch on, as it might help others in the future. :chuffed:

    It sounds like you may have had an old copy of 1Password 3 hanging around, still making backups with a separate vault. If you're using 1Password 5 and all of your data is there you can safely delete the old 1Password (3) data. But if you open 1Password 3 and it's got items you're missing in 1Password 5, obviously you'd want to export those before deleting anything.

    1Password 5 actually doesn't write to an .agilekeychain unless you set it up to sync. So in that case you'll just need to go to 1Password Preferences > Sync and choose Dropbox from the vault's dropdown menu to have 1Password save a copy of the vault there. Cheers! :)
