Where is the best place to save vault for network folder sync? For example is it best to save within the User/Library or is that not necessary?

and can the location of an existing vault be moved?

thanks,

    Hi @J_schwinn,

When using Folder Sync, you may store the folder anywhere on your local drive. The sync solution that you use to sync that local folder to your other computers might have a preference for where that folder is located, but 1Password doesn't. 1Password will happily sync your data to any local folder that you choose.

(You'll notice that I've used the word 'local' a few times. This is on purpose. 1Password doesn't handle folder syncing to a folder that is stored on a networked drive. You're best off using a local folder and a secondary sync solution to move the folder's contents from one device to another.)

can the location of an existing vault be moved?

To change the folder that your 1Password data is synced to, you'll want to disable sync (in the Preferences > Sync pane) and then select a new sync location.

I hope this helps, but we're here if you have any further questions or concerns.
