    Hi @JohnEEgan,

We'll need a lot more information in order to understand the problem you're having and help you fix it. I think the most efficient way to get the information we need is to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your Mac. Please follow the instructions here, and when you get to step 7, attach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!

    Hi @pepeiko,

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble since the upgrade. Unfortunately, "1Password does not work" is not really enough information for us to help troubleshoot the problem. Please give us as much detail as you can about what you're trying, how it's not working as expected, what you're seeing, and the exact text of any error messages. Once we know what the problem is, we'll be more than happy to help you solve it.

Or if you'd prefer, you can follow the same steps I suggested for JohnEEgan above and send us a Diagnostics Report. But either way, we'll need some description of what the problem is so we'll know what to look for. Thanks in advance!

@pepeiko are you using 1Password 3? If so, please take a look at the AgileBits posts in this thread on the 1P3 for Mac legacy forum.

If you're not using 1P3 please tell us what version of 1P for Mac you are using.

    Hi @pepeiko,

Glad to see that Stephen_C was able to help you identify the problem.

I'm sorry that you're disappointed, but 1Password 3 has been out of development for years now, as we've been directing our efforts toward taking full advantage of all the great new features available in the newer versions of OS X. So of course we could not have anticipated that 10.11 would not support 1Password 3, because v3 was designed for 10.6 and 10.7. Honestly, it's pretty awesome that v3 continued to work as well as it did in 10.8, 10.9, and 10.10.

So buying the new version is not the only solution; you could also revert to a supported version of OS X. But you're bound to run into compatibility problems whenever you selectively update software. If you want to use the latest OS, wouldn't you want to use the latest 1Password as well?

I see that you have emailed us looking for your license information. Hopefully this is because you've discovered that your v3 license (which I have just sent you via email, to your gmail account) can be used to get a great discount through our upgrade store.

I'll respond to your email as well, and we can continue the conversation there if you'd like. Better to pick one channel and stick to it in order to keep from getting our wires crossed and/or duplicating efforts. Thanks!

Vee thank you very much .
Finally , as I have my license version 3 .
I will use the discount and will update to version 5, and I think a great app and use daily in all my Apple devices.

Do let us know if any other questions come up for you during the upgrade process. Cheers!

    Good question, @pepeiko!

You're right, there's not currently a setting to hide Secure Notes in the mini/extension. But there should be. We have an open issue for this in our internal tracker, and I've added your comments there for the developers to see. Hopefully we can make this improvement in a future update to 1Password. Thanks for your feedback! :+1:
