MBP Safari Extension lists update but won't auto update 4.4.4 as listed ? App store conflict ?
I see listed update in Safari Preferences; doesn't update in App Store as usual. In recent past I had my computer wiped and restarted and the tech noticed I was missing the extension....might it be he loaded it from the web instead of the App Store and that's why it won't auto update even tho auto-update box is checked ? Should I delete and reload some other way ? If yes...please list directions for a novice .

Hi @Mulelady,
All the browsers have been adding new checks and restrictions in place recently to ensure people can trust the extensions they download. This almost always involves the people behind the browser Apple, Mozilla & Google, performing checks on copies of the extensions that the developer now has to supply. We're still ironing out the wrinkles with the procedure connected to Safari. Once we have though it will mean Safari will automatically update without any intervention required. It doesn't involve the App Store though, it's something called the Safari Extension Gallery.
At the moment though you're running the latest version of 1Password for Mac and the Safari Extension so nothing needed at the moment
