My company is blocking DropBox and my vault no longer updates. I've been a customer for more than a few years and was hoping not to have to repurchase 1Password.

When Apple released the CloudKit technology, upon which 1Password relies for iCloud syncing, they prevented applications that Apple doesn't sell themselves from having access to iCloud for syncing, At that point, the AgileBits web store version lost the ability to use iCloud. Furthermore, Apple provides no way for developers to transfer licenses to the Mac App Store or even to offer discounted pricing to previous users. That's all a long way to say that if you need iCloud for syncing, there isn't anyway for you to get that access without buying a license from Apple. I know from watching the forum for quite sometime that AgileBits wishes this station were otherwise.

As I write this, 1Password is on sale for 40% off, so now is a good time to make the buy. I have no idea how long that sale will last, but it has been announced as limited time.

AgileBits will issue a refund to users who bought from their web site if the purchase was within the 30 day no-questions asked money back refund window. Your post seems to suggest that this would not apply to your case, but if I misjudged that, do post back.

    Hi @billheese,

I can certainly understand your position but if the purchase was made as long ago as you indicate then I'm afraid we are a bit outside of the refund window as hawkmoth covered. I know, it's not great that the only way it's possible to get iCloud Sync back is a purchase but Apple's Mac App Store doesn't support migrating users from the AgileBits Store version or even the ability to offer a selective discount. All it allows is a single price for all. As hawkmoth also mentioned, if you feel there is no option then at least the sale that is on may help with the bitterness of the pill as people like to say. I do apologise I don't have a better option for you :(
