No iCloud option when setting up on Mac

Many months ago I downloaded 1Password on my iPhone (running 9.0.2) and shortly thereafter forgot the password. After consulting the blogs I discovered there is no way to recover the password or the data - so I created a new vault.

Today I downloaded 1Password on my Mac (running 10.11). When I go to set up 1Password I choose "I've used 1Password before." a few options appears (including iCloud) but iCloud disappears and is not selectable.

All I am trying to do is add my Mac to my iPhone's 1Password account.

Thank you,
Brian

Update: I rebooted the app and it automatically saw that I have a vault in iCloud however it is only showing the vault that I do not know the password for. I tried to merge the vaults on my iPhone, but it asks for the password as well.

@bjcronin: Sorry for the confusion! iCloud can only store a single 1Password vault, so I don't think that's the problem. It sounds like you may not have the correct version on you Mac. Only the mac App Store version is allowed to use iCloud Sync. If you're using the AgieBits Store version, you will need to use Dropbox instead. Please check which one you have:

Which 1Password version am I using?

Please let me know what you find. I look forward to hearing back from you! :)

    Hi Brently,

Thank you for the response. I can confirm I am using the 1Password from the Mac App Store (Version 5.4 (54006)).

How can I clear the current 1Password vault in my iCloud account and replace it with the one currently on my iPhone. I believe I will be able to fix it from there.

@bjcronin: Excellent! You can clear 1Password's iCloud data from either device:

1Password for Mac: Help > Troubleshooting > Reset iCloud Data

1Password for iOS: Settings > Advanced > Erase iCloud Data

I hope this helps. Let me know how it turns out! :)
