My 1Password on my computer is associated with my Dropbox account. My wife has her own Dropbox account on her computer. I just installed 1Password on her computer via my license. In order to share my 1Password data with her does she need my Dropbox account on her computer instead of her own Dropbox?

    Hi @keith486,

You can share a vault with your wife without having to share your Dropbox account. Have a look at our share a vault article in our user guide for details.

If you have any questions or hit any snags in the process, we're her to help!

When sharing a new vault for 1Password, will my 1Password.agilekeychain exist in both my Primary and Family (shared) vaults? Will changes I make to one automatically change the other? How about changes made by the person I'm sharing with?

    Hi @keith486,

No. Each vault has its own sync settings and its own keychain file. When you share, for instance, Family.agilekeychain with your wife, that will only share the Family vault. If you wish to share other vaults, you need to go through the sharing steps for each separately.

Will changes I make to one automatically change the other? How about changes made by the person I'm sharing with?

Vaults shared using Dropbox are kept up-to-date on all connected devices by Dropbox sync. These questions and more are answered in the guide that Megan linked to here.

    Cheers, and happy syncing! :)
