My keychain appears corrupted - how can I delete old and create new keychain to sync with dropbox? I'm assuming I can delete old keychain and recreate a new one but want to make sure this doesn't cause unintended consequences.
Is it as simple as deleting keychain and going to 1PW preferences and creating new keychain to sync with dropbox? Should I delete a bunch of old preference files or do any "cleaning" before installing a new keychain? Please provide me with a link for instructions in re-creating a new keychain when the old one appears to be corrupted.
BTW, I have been asking about this in another thread but have not heard from anybody yet in that forum so am asking here. Thanks!

Hey - could you please respond to my latest question - ie the 1ps syncing with dropbox is not working though dropbox
is working fine now - can I "start over" - ie delete 1pw keychain entirely from dropbox and then go to preferences and create a new one? can you provide me with specific instructions for a "reinstallation" of keychain - ie a link? thanks0 -
Hi @momomentous ,
I apologize for the delay in replying to you here! We've had a busy few days here and our support team is doing the best we can to get back to our usual snappy responses.
You are correct, if your keychain in Dropbox appears corrupted, we'll want to disable syncing, delete that keychain and allow 1Password to create a brand new one. Before we go about resetting sync though, I'm curious about how you're noticing that the keychain is corrupted - your database in 1Password is still correct and up to date? We need to confirm this because if you're seeing issues with your data in the 1Password app itself, then we'll want to restore from a backup rather that regenerate that keychain.
If it is the keychain that's corrupted though, here are the instructions for resetting sync:
On your iOS devices, open 1Password for iOS, tap Settings > Sync > Sync Service, and tap Disable Sync.
On the Mac, open 1Password for Mac, and click the 1Password menu, then Preferences. Click Sync, and click Change syncing.
Check the box to remove the data from Dropbox and confirm that you want to disable sync.
Reboot the Mac and iOS devices.
Check your Dropbox folder and delete any other 1Password folders or files that the remove data checkbox did not take care of.
On the Mac, go back to the Sync preferences, and click Dropbox. Click Choose vault, then navigate to your Dropbox folder and select Open. This will regenerate a 1Password folder in Dropbox, and that will contain a new 1Password.agilekeychain file.
Allow Dropbox to fully sync.
Go back into the iOS app and re-enable Dropbox sync. That should get everything on the same page for sure.

Thanks Megan - I'm going to be away for a few days and will try to get things back on track when I return Tuesday.
