My data format is agilekeychain even though all syncing is with Wifi
I just read the article "Switching to OPVault from Agile Keychain". I checked my ~/Library folder and my keychain is in the agilekeychain format. However, I have only used WiFi syncing. Shouldn't the format be OPVault?
1Password Version: 5.4.1
Extension Version: 4.4.4.
OS Version: OS X 10.11.1
Sync Type: WiFi

Wi-fi sync doesn't write out a keychain to that location (OPVault OR Agile Keychain), so my guess would be that at some point you or another user with access to your 1Password data chose folder sync and used the local library folder as the data location. If you're using wi-fi to sync and have been for a while, it's probably safe to delete that keychain. You should definitely make a backup first, by going to File -> Backup, but once that's done, trash that Agile Keychain without fear. Let us know if you hit any snags!

I suppose it's possible a folder sync could have been used at some point in the past. However, the agilekeychain file in the Library folder is dated yesterday and all the backups files are in the same location with the extension xxx.agilekeychain_zip. If I have an OPVault file, where is that located?

Hi @mrp777,
I can't answer that question, as it could literally be anywhere you choose, if you've used Folder Sync. If you're using only wi-fi sync, then you won't have an OPVault keychain written out, as wi-fi sync doesn't write out a keychain at all - Agile or OPVault.
Can you do me a favor? Open up 1Password if it isn't already, and in Preferences, look at the Sync tab (not the wi-fi server tab). What does it say there? You can use wi-fi sync without ever visiting the sync tab at all, but if you or someone else has set the sync tab, then that could explain why the Agile Keychain you have in your Library folder is so recently updated. Let me know what you discover.

The sync tab shows the Primary vault will sync with "folder" ( ~/Library/Application Support/1Password). So I guess now we can safely delete the keychain as you recommended above. Thanks for your help.

You're quite welcome! Let us know if you have any further difficulties getting wi-fi sync set up.
