Mini missing records.

Hi. I just updated to ElCap and it took a bit of time until my mini icon appeared at the top of my menu bar on my mac. I have no idea as to whether any of that is related to the problem I am about to outline:

I went to access a record via the mini and it wasn't there. I have had these types of issues before but never gave them much thought or documented them as I just simply found them in the Desktop App. So, given the upgrade in OS I was more focused. I opened my Desktop App on the same computer and there is my record. I assume this isn't a 'synching' issue as it is on the same computer. I then checked the extension button (mini?) in both Chrome and Safari and it too does not show my record.

    The first thing to check is the display field of the relevant items. You can see that when you edit the relevant item in the main app, towards the bottom of the item window. Make sure that is set to Always.

    This is usually caused by 1Password not being able to sync with mini, as you noted in your post. I would recommend checking out this guide for info on things being out of sync between mini and 1Password. The most common cause is having more than one 1Password app installed which is one of the easiest things to look for in your Applications folder. :)

    You are correct: 1Password mini is also associated with the extensions. Following the guide I just mentioned should work to fix this.

    Lastly, Stephen_C has a good point. It sounds like your problem arose suddenly, but it's worth checking each item's display setting (you can do this by editing it) to see if it is not set to display anywhere but the app. Let us know how everything goes!

    Thanks guys. I didn't see Stephen's suggestion above but went through your checklist until I circled back to his suggestion, your second. That was the issue. I didn't know that feature existed. There is so much to this program, I need to take a course in understanding its meaty capabilities and then figure out how to incorporate it all. thanks @penderworth and @Stephen_C
