Upgrades to iPassword 5
I sync using iCloud. My understanding is that this means I need to use the version from the app store rather than the one from your site. I keep getting notice of upgrades to my 1Password 5 and accept and install these. I had the site version too until I learned it was not working with iCloud. However, given I have to use the version from the app store, are these upgrades doing me any good? When I open 1Password 5, none of my favourites seem to be there and changes I have made have not been recorded. Am I missing something?
I am NOT a fan of Dropbox so that is really not an option for me.

@rappar: It sounds like you may have multiple copies of 1Password installed. Please do a Spotlight search and tell me what you find. If you've already purchase 1Password from the Mac App Store, you can simply delete any copies of the app you currently have on your Mac and download a fresh copy from your purchase history there. I show 1Password and 1Password 5. So, I do have two. Is the 1Password the one from the app store I need because I sync with iCloud? If so, should I delete the 1Password 5?
If this is what I should do, I have to ask, is the app store version updated or not? If not, is there still no way to make the webstore version work with iCloud so that I know I have the most recent app running on my Mac?0 -
@rappar Since you sync with iCloud, you should move
1Password 5.appto the trash.1Password.appis the version of the Mac App Store, so you want to keep that around to keep syncing. It's not currently possible for us to implement iCloud sync with the AgileBits Store version and likely will not be in the future. Since you own the Mac App Store version, though, there's nothing to worry about. :) Hope that helps.0 -
OK, 5 will be taken off the iMac. However, I get regular updates for it, something that I am not sure happens with the app version.
Given this and my hatred of Dropbox, what is the sync for something other than iCloud so I can join the 5.x group?

@rappar: The AgileBits Store and Mac App Store versions are the same, with the exception of an in-app purchase option in the former and iCloud in the latter.

"1Password" from the Mac App Store is also version 5 (you can view this in the file info and also the store description). I hope this helps clear things up! :)
