Can't get 1password to log into Amazon.co.uk correctly
I have the latest El Capitan operating system. When I use 1password to save my Amazon log on details, after the process of logging on. It appears to save everything correctly. When I try and use 1 password to log into Amazon, it takes me to the a screen stating that I am a new customer and the email address that I am using is already used with an account. It is for some reason checking the new customer button during the log in process, which takes me to the screen I have mentioned. logging in manually without using 1password works fine, in both Chrome and Safari.

The usual solution for problems like this is to re-create and save the login manually. Have you tried that?

Thanks for the reply Stephen. Yes I have tried to save the logon manually, prior to posting. Sorry I should have said. I have just tried it again and got the same result. It continually selects the 'New Customer' option when I have not selected it, which is causing the problem.

Hey @Bryan_L! Ah yes, this is a bit of a glitch with Amazon's site. To fix it, navigate to the item in 1Password, click Edit and click show web form details. Remove the extra radio button field below password by clicking the
—
button. You should notice that it no longer selects the "New Customer" option. :) Let us know how it goes!0 -
Brilliant, that as sorted that problem. The programme now populates all the correct details and buttons. All I have to do is click on the 'connect to secure server' button and it logs on straight away. The process does not log me in automatically like some sites allow without me having to click on anything, but I no longer have the original annoying problem. Thank you.

@Bryan_L I'm glad to we got that one solved, but hmm, we should be able to get it submitting automatically as well. Could you check the browser extension's settings by clicking the extension icon and selecting the gear? From there, make sure Submit Logins has a checkmark to the left. If it doesn't, click it to enable this function. Automatically submitting should be happening when this is enabled. If it doesn't, please let us know.

Okay, 'submit logins' was not checked. I clicked on it and a box came up stating that a script had to be written for this to be enabled. I thought 'yikes', but noticed a button that did that for me, thank goodness. I re tried logging in. The first 2 occasions it did not work and produced problems. I restarted the browser and now it logs in straight away. In safari and Chrome. Thank you again.

I do use other web sites where the 'submit logins' is checked but they do not automatically log me in. I have to 'click' on a button to actually log in.

@Bryan_L Ah yes, you have to enable the auto-submit script so the browser hears the
enter
key being pressed and submits the form.I do use other web sites where the 'submit logins' is checked but they do not automatically log me in. I have to 'click' on a button to actually log in.
What sites are these? If you can give us some links we can see what's going on.

One is Apple iCloud. In Safari the details are populated, and I have to click to log in. In Google Chrome the details are not populated at all.

@Bryan_L I just tried https://www.icloud.com in Safari 9.0.1 running the latest version of the 1Password extension and it submitted automatically. What version of the extension are you using and is that the exact URL you're visiting?

Same URL and version of Safari. The Safari extension is 4.4.4. The Chrome Extension is 4.4.3.90.

Another site that does not log in automatically is www.valuedopinions.co.uk. I have to click to log in. 'Submit Logins' is checked.

Forget about the valued opinions site. After not logging in all day. It now logs in automatically. Not sure whats happened there.

Also Betfred.com. I have to click on 'log in', the details are then populated and then I have to click on 'sign in' to enter the site.

www.endomondo.com. I have to click twice to enter this site. Thanks.

@Bryan_L Thanks for posting another site you're having trouble with. On that one, I was able to autofill things and submit them properly with the
⌘ \
shortcut in both Chrome and Safari using the latest plugins. How are you logging in? I just went to their home page, clicked Log In in the top right, and used the 1Password shortcut to quickly enter my details. I didn't have to click the green Log In button to confirm — everything went through properly. If you're using a different page on their site, we can test that as well. Let us know!0 -
I must be doing something wrong then, I've not been using the programme long so am bit of a novice. I have just deleted Endomondo from 1password. I have deleted the saved passwords from Safari and Chrome. I have signed in to the site manually and saved the new settings to 1password, when prompted. Now when I click on the login for Endomondo in 1password I get to the main log on page only. When I click on Log In nothing is auto filled in either browsers and I have to sign in manually. The page 1password takes me to from the saved link is: https://www.endomondo.com.

@Bryan_L It sounds like you're opening the website through 1Password, or 1Password mini. When you visit the site, you should be able to autofill the fields using the shortcut I mentioned (
⌘ \
) or by clicking 1Password icon in the browser and selecting the login from the list. The login for the website you're viewing should automatically show up when you're on that site. If you click a login from the Logins tab, it will open that site and fill the login. For Endomondo, using the Open and Fill function won't work because of the way the website is built. There's an extra layer of the webpage that 1Password can't open and fill due to the way the site is coded. The best way to fill the field is to simply use the shortcut I mentioned above. It's super quick and can be used anywhere in the browser for filling logins. :)
Let us know if that helps get things moving.
