I have spent a lot of time trying to get 1P to work on my Mac with El Capitan. I get a window with a list of maybe a dozen passwords, 2-4 each for about 4 sites. Some have your "rich" icons; some just black icons of a keyhole. None of them work. I've tried your password generator, but no indication that anything "takes," or "happens, or is "done" ... nothing. I can get into these and many other sites with the passwords I've used before, but there's no indication that 1P is doing anything. Then, even, if I do get it working on the Mac, what confidence can I have that these "1 Passwords" will be recognized by my 3 iOS mobile devices?

Hey @DonSherman! When you generate a password and click Fill in the browser, it will fill the password fields on the page. If you have the copy to clipboard option enabled, it also copies it to your clipboard upon filling. The password is automatically saved in the Passwords category of the app in case you don't add it to a Login at the same time.

Once you click the
Fill
orCopy
button, the password you generated will be saved in the active 1Password vault. Until that point, nothing is saved. Then, even, if I do get it working on the Mac, what confidence can I have that these "1 Passwords" will be recognized by my 3 iOS mobile devices?
You reported that you're using WiFi Sync. This can only be used to sync between one Mac or Windows computer and any number of Android or iOS devices. In your case, it should work just fine. To move your 1Password data between your devices using this sync method, they'll need to be on the same WiFi network. You can follow our knowledge base guide for detailed instructions on getting things synced.
If this is still confusing, please email us at support+forum@agilebits.com with a link to this thread so we can figure out a better way to communicate.
