I have 1PW for ios (ver. 6.0.2). Just acquired MacBook Pro. (1) Do I need purchase 1PW for Mac as well? (2) Will they merge? (3) If so, will merging be automatic thru iCloud? Or will you point me to instructions for merging?

1) Because licenses are sold per platform (and per individual), and because iOS and OS X are separate platforms, you will indeed need to buy a licens for your Mac if you also want to use 1Passowrd on it.

2) You will be able to keep your Mac and iOS devices synchronized. If you want to use iCloud for that purpose, you must buy your license from Apple's Mac App Store. The version sold directly by AgileBits can't use iCloud for that purpose. All versions can use Dropbox for syncing with a cloud solution, or Wi-Fi if your choice is not to use a cloud solution.
