Logging problem under El Capitan - where is discoveryd?
Perhaps related to this earlier thread:
https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/45361/ive-just-removed-a-massive-700-mb-log-file-but-it-is-filling-up-again-very-quickly
I believe the user back in August must have been running a beta of El Capitan.
I upgraded to El Capitan (with a fresh, wiped install, actually) last week, and installed from scratch the latest version of 1Password (AgileBits web store version), reusing the saved vault.
Since then, my log file at ~/Library/Logs/1Password is filling up (1.5million lines since last Wednesday) with this, repeated every 2 seconds:
Sun Oct 25 09:00:26 2015| 532001 [WIFI:0x7fdf5bd005b0:] S _findDiscoverydAndSetupMonitor | discoveryd not found running. Will try again in 2 seconds
Since discovered no longer exists in El Capitan, it is no wonder 1Password cannot find it. Apple returned to using mDNSResponder as the resolver service.
It is directly related to the Wi-Fi server being running. The only way I can stop the repeating log file entries is to stop the Wi-Fi server, then CTRL-CMD-Q 1Password and restart it. I guess that will be my workaround until you can put out a patch. I'll start the Wi-Fi server when I need a sync to the iPhone and then stop it all again.

Never mind, this has apparently been fixed with 5.4.1

Hey @HenryAZ! I read your post and looked into the other post as well and was excited to tackle this with you, but then I read your second post and found that all is well. :( I guess that's a good thing though! If you see this issue pop up again in the future, please post back here and let us know so we can help figure things out. In the meantime, enjoy 1Password! :glasses:
