It's really difficult to know what the problem is unless you provide us with some basic information. Please tell us:
- What version of 1P for Mac you are using
- What is your OS X version
- What was the software update that you did
- What is the exact error message that you see when you try to launch 1Password

Same thing is happening for me on all of my devices: I am using El Capitan on my Mac the version of 1Password I have is 5.4, I also have the safari extension loaded. On my iPad and iPhone I have 9.1 IOS and I have the latest version which i believe is 6.0.2 for 1Password.
No matter if I use iCloud vault or Dropbox vault. I cannot get logged into 1Password. This has become an issue because I decided to replace my basic easy to remember passwords with the encrypted passwords suggested by 1Password for my most import accounts. And of course well who can remember those passwords, so I therefore cannot get into my accounts.
Please help, I have been using 1Password for some time now and this problem did not start for me until I upgraded my MAC and iPhone IOS.
---Also I don't get an error message its just not letting me in... well its saying "incorrect password" but I know its not as it hit and miss with letting me in. More miss then hit.
Thanks, Ang

I have the same problem as mrsbward. It doesn't seem to like El Capitan. One message says "1Password failed to connect to 1 Password mini". Another message says I need the 1 Password app. But I am working on a Macbook pro. When I try to reload the browser extension it says Safari can't install this extension.

Hey @philiprood,
I removed your phone number since this is a public forum. Could you give us a bit more info on the version of 1Password you're using? If you could post the details that Stephen mentioned that would be greatly appreciated. :)
@MichaelKing Glad to hear you were able to get things up and running after removing old versions of 1Password.
Sorry to hear things still aren't working quite right for you. Since you mentioned using iCloud sync at one point, it sounds like you have the AgileBits Store version of 1Password. Could you check your
Applications
folder to make sure you only have one version of the app installed? Once you do that, please confirm what version you are running. You can check by following the instructions in this guide. Were you syncing your vault with any services prior to this issue appearing? Did you update your apps and then notice this issue? If so, which devices did you update? A bit more info here will help us figure out what's going on.
