Multiple Vaults

I have 2 vaults, primary and 1password. Didn't realize I had done this. The 2 vaults show on my iPhone and iPad, but not on my desktop. The vaults are on dropbox. The path shown in preferences on my desktop is dropbox/1password/1password.agilekeychain. On my phone and tablet I see primary and 1password. The desktop is syncing with 1password, but the phone and tablet default to primary. This creates confusion because entries can be added to primary vault from a phone then it will not show on the desktop. Can these vaults be merged? How do I delete the primary vault leaving just the 1password vault.

Hey @swmoore50,

Oh boy, that must have gotten a bit confusing! To clear things up, you can move your items from one vault to another. Are both your vaults synced with Dropbox? There will be two Agile Keychain files in there if they are. On your Mac, you can add the second vault by heading to your Dropbox folder and double-clicking the additional .agilekeychain file. Still on your Mac, move the items from that vault to your Primary by doing the following:

1. Click the vault switcher drop-down in the top left of the window
2. Select the secondary vault
3. Click one of the items in the vault and use ⌘ A to select everything
4. Right-click any of the items and select Share > Primary > Move
5. Switch to your Primary vault to make sure these items are in there

Once you've moved things, you can remove the extra vault by switching to it, clicking 1Password in the menu bar, and selecting Delete Vault. You can also move the vault to the trash in your Dropbox account. On your iOS devices, you'll need to delete the vault as well by heading to Settings > Vaults, selecting the vault name, and tapping Remove Vault.

@swmoore50 It does indeed seem to be so! You should set it up with Dropbox sync so you can access it on all your devices, and so you can move things between the vaults on your Mac. Once you get it enabled, follow the instructions I posted above and let us know how those go. ;)
